Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released a recruitment notification for 83 posts of of Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication) in Home Department. The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released a recruitment notification for 83 posts of of Sub-Inspector (SI) (Telecommunication) in Home Department.

Eligibility Criteria for SI Recruitment

Essential Qualification: 

Candidates must havde 4-year degree as Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology in any of the following streams namely, Computer Science Engineering; or Electronics & Communication Engineering; or Telecommunication Engineering; or Information Technology; or Mechatronics; or Data Science; or Electrical and Electronics Engineering; or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning; or Cyber Security.

  • OM Category: 18-28 years (Not Born Before - 01.01.1997, Not Born After - 01.01.2007)
  • SC Category: 18-28 years (Not Born Before - 01.01.1997, Not Born After - 01.01.2007)

Pay Scale for JKSSB Sub Inspector (SI) Notification 2025

The selected candidates will receive a salary under Pay Level-6C, which ranges from Rs. 35,700 to 1,13,100. This pay level includes basic pay along with applicable allowances as per government rules.

Physical Test for JKSSB Sub-Inspector Recruitment 2025

(I) Physical Standard Test (PST)

For Males -

  • Height: 5 ft 6 inch
  • Chest (Unexpanded): 32 inch
  • Chest (Expanded): 33.5 inch

For Females -

  • Height: 5 ft 2 inch

Relaxation:

  • Gorkha community: Height relaxation 2 inches
  • Bot Tribe: Height relaxation 2 inches

(II) Physical Endurance Test (PET)

For Males -

  • 1600m run in 6 min 30 sec
  • 20 pushups (one cycle = up & down)

For Females -

  • 1000m run in 6 min 30 sec
  • Shot put (4kg): 14.5 ft (3 attempts)
